The Southern Gothic Festival is only in its 4th year of production and in order for us to gain popularity and grow we do not charge a high price for tickets. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible and we believe that steep ticket prices would make SoGo inaccessible to many, especially those who travel from outside of New Orleans. As such, we cannot provide musical talent with upfront monetary guarantees. We do, however, promise to give all bands an equal share of the profit and a few other things. For example, the bands who played at SoGo 2.5 each got $50, a t-shirt (with all the bands’ names on it) and free weekend passes to all SoGo events. If your goals align with ours- that is you want to reach as many people as possible, we will achieve great things together! Know that, based on the overwhelmingly positive responses from last year’s SoGo, we expect a higher attendance for SoGo 3. Additionally, this year’s event will be covered by Carpe Nocturne magazine, thereby expanding our audience and ensuring maximal exposure. So please do consider these things as we proceed with building our relationship and working together to create the Southern Gothic Festival Chapter 3: Immortals.
Thank you, Valek and Diana
